Elementary Beyond The Classroom
Speaker of the Month
Speaking of the Month: Fostering Curiosity, Encouraging Open Discussion
At Jump Immersion School, we believe in nurturing the curious minds of our elementary students through engaging discussions and the Speaker of the Month Program. This unique initiative provides students with a platform to explore a variety of topics, from current events and book reviews to science experiments, favorite recipes, and diverse topics.
One aspect that we particularly love about the Speaker of the Month and Chef of the Month programs is the opportunity for parents to work closely with their children. Parents love being involved in these projects, helping their children prepare at home. This participation fosters collaboration and strengthens the connection between families and our school community, making learning a truly collaborative and enriching experience.

Creative Writing Public Speaking
Unlocking Confidence: Creative Writing and Public Speaking Program
At Jump Immersion School, we recognize the significance of empowering children holistically – academically, socially, and emotionally. Our Creative Writing and Public Speaking (CWPS) program is a dynamic and transformative experience meticulously crafted to give students essential life skills. This program is developed throughout the year using an interdisciplinary approach and stages. For instance, first, the students learn the theory, and then they start creating projects and practicing their skills in art and writing. Finally, they prepare a performance and presentation of all their accomplishments, mastering their public speaking skills.
CWPS goes beyond proficiency in written and verbal communication in English; it extends into mastery of these skills in their target language. Simultaneously, the program fosters confidence and resilience, enabling students to express themselves with poise and assurance before a live audience.
Key Benefits of C.W.P.S.
Poise and Confidence
We understand that public speaking can be a source of apprehension for many children. Our workshop hones the essential skills needed to speak comfortably and confidently in front of an audience, fostering a lifelong skill that will offer many rewards to many years to come.
Confidence Boost
Through engaging activities and exercises, the workshop aims to boost your child’s confidence in written, verbal, and nonverbal communication. We believe that a confident communicator is better equipped to navigate both academic and personal challenges.
Expressive Skills
The workshop focuses on enhancing a child’s ability to express themselves eloquently in front of an audience. Whether through creative writing or public speaking, students develop the skills to articulate their thoughts and ideas with clarity and impact.
Success Mindset
Beyond communication skills, we emphasize the importance of cultivating a successful mindset. By instilling a positive and growth-oriented outlook, your child is empowered to reach their full potential, both academically and personally.
Our Creative Writing and Public Speaking Symposium provides a supportive environment where children can flourish, express themselves, and build the skills needed for success in various aspects of life. Join us on this enriching journey where confidence, communication, and a successful mindset converge.
Peer Leadership
Peer Leadership Program: Nurturing Future Leaders
We believe in fostering a culture of leadership and mentorship among our students. Our Peer Leadership Program is designed to empower older students in grades 3rd to 5th to lead by example and become role models for their younger peers in preschool and Kindergarten.
Leading by Example
Our students are encouraged to embody the values and behaviors we aim to instill in our school community. By setting a positive example, they contribute to creating a nurturing and respectful environment for everyone.
Mentorship
Older students are paired with younger counterparts to establish meaningful connections. This mentorship goes beyond academics, fostering friendships and support networks within our school community.
Family Partnership
Embracing Diversity: The Heart of Our Family Partnerships
At Jump, we cherish the profound significance of family partnerships within our vibrant community. Our families bring forth a tapestry of diverse traditions, professions, cultures, and interests, enriching the educational journey for both students and staff alike.
Diverse Traditions and Professions
Diversity at Jump is integrated into all aspects of the school and goes beyond the curriculum. It is part of our social studies lessons and is celebrated during heritage months and holiday events where children learn about different cultures and traditions. Diversity is also delivered through Jump’s collaborations with community organizations, field trips, and visitors to the school. Moreover, it is embodied in our staff, students, and families – we celebrate everyone’s uniqueness.
Family School Partnership
Parent and teacher communication is essential to how Jump operates. This two-way dialogue between parents and the school ensures that each child receives the support they need. Due to our small class sizes, teachers can assess the unique needs of each child, providing personalized support. It’s crucial for teachers to be aware of any issues at home that may impact their students, just as parents need to be informed of any school-related concerns. This continuous communication is vital to ensuring each child develops to their full potential.
Interactions: Learning, Bonding and Idea Sharing
We value the vibrant interactions between our parents and students, as they offer invaluable opportunities for learning, bonding, and the exchange of ideas. These moments of connection provide a platform for shared experiences, strengthening the ties that bind our Jump community.
