Jump’s Immersion & Dual Language Preschool Curriculum
Preschool education is a critical stage in a child’s development, laying the foundation for future academic, social, and emotional success. At Jump, our language immersion preschool program offers a unique curriculum that combines language immersion, academic excellence, centers for music and movement, and exploration of the world around them. Preschool (2.5 – 4 Years Old)
Exploration Time
Transitioning from home to school is a special time in our classroom, allowing your child to explore their interests in a calm, individualized space. Our teachers are excited to discover what inspires each child to attend school.
Circle Time
An intimate time for the teacher to connect with the children as a community. Together, they discuss the day’s theme, sing songs, assign responsibilities, and share experiences from home, fostering a sense of belonging and community.
Centers
Small, guided centers help navigate your child’s social-emotional journey daily. Various opportunities introduce and develop core subjects such as Language Arts, Math, Science, Sensory, Dramatic Play, and Art. Teachers work closely with all children to encourage problem-solving, independence, and pride in their accomplishments.
Character Building Leadership Program
Preschool 2.5 is the Study of the Curious Squirrel – children are exploring the world around them for the first time. Friendship, respect, collaboration, and understanding are all lessons the squirrel offers.
Preschool 3 is the Study of the Empathetic Teddy Bear. Children are introduced to the caring nature of the teddy bear teaching empathy, kindness, generosity, and the importance of sharing their feelings with others.
Preschool 4 is the Study of the Collaborative Ant. Children learn to work together o achieve a common goal and celebrate their successes as a team.
English
Children learn to adhere to standards and objectives for New Jersey English to ensure success in their academic career.
Preschool 3 – Receive English classes with our English teacher for 30 minutes a day
Preschool 4 – Receive English classes with our English teacher for 1 hour a day. They also receive quarterly assessments and demonstrate performance above grade level.
Group Activity
Children dance, use instruments to learn rhythm, create artful masterpieces, and expand their creativity through peer interaction. These activities promote collaborative expression and creativity.
Interactive Storytime
Teachers engage children with books, characters, and storytelling. Children develop a love for reading and learn important skills like empathy, respect, and generosity.
Outdoor Recess
A meaningful experience for students to develop social skills through free play. Daily visits to the playground promote healthy habits through exercise and mental rejuvenation.
Nap Time
Daily naps are integral to your child’s development. Teachers help children rest on their mats with soft music, ensuring they wake up energized and ready to continue their day of learning.
